About Star Action Figures

Star Action Figures started the same way most good things do - out of frustration.

Back in the early 2000s, finding action figures in the UK wasn’t just difficult, it was a mess. Limited stock, poor distribution and collectors constantly being left to chase whatever scraps reached the country. Instead of simply putting up with it, we decided to do something about it.

What began as a small operation selling through third-party platforms became a dedicated Star Action Figures website in 2006.

From there, it wasn’t an overnight success story. It was years of hard work, building trust with collectors and doing things properly. No gimmicks and no nonsense - just getting figures into the hands of the people who actually wanted them.

By 2018, we had grown increasingly frustrated with the same problems, particularly the way the UK collector market was being handled. So we went directly to the source.

We travelled to San Diego Comic-Con and met Hasbro face-to-face. No emails, no middlemen - just a direct conversation about why UK collectors were continually being left behind.

That was the moment everything changed.

Since then, Star Action Figures has grown into one of the UK’s leading collector-focused retailers, working closely with manufacturers and distributors to improve product availability, secure meaningful allocations and give collectors a better overall buying experience.

In 2026, we launched our new website, built to make finding, ordering and managing your collection easier than ever. The technology may have changed, but the reason we are here has not.

Our focus remains simple - getting the right products, at the right time, into the hands of genuine collectors.

We are still collectors at heart.

That hasn’t changed, and it is the reason we continue to run Star Action Figures the way we do.
